photo class

i started a photography class through portland adult ed last thursday. we learned the basics (mostly stuff i already knew.) i'll be posting the photos taken for the class.
the class is fifteen people, thirteen of them being middle aged women with very large digital slrs, and two of them being hipsters under the age of twenty three with vintage film cameras given to them by their parents.
i'm on my way there now. pretty much really excited about it.

these are from val getting a tattoo. she got "teach" on one ankle and "mindfulness" on the other ankle. she had him do "mindfulness" first so she could bail out on "teach" if she needed to.
good thing i had my camera set to bulb shot.

this guy used to come into sam's every day. he would get a slice of pepperoni and a coke.

a quiet sunday night at nash's house. we're listening to sparklehorse and it brings back memories from northampton.
i thought it seemed an appropriate time to put up these pictures. this is one of the first (or maybe the very first) roll of film that i shot. april/may of 2008?
